Building Your First Dungeon

When you start as a Member, be sure to edit your dungeon. You will need to create a dungeon with at least 30 spirits before you can begin playing. Check out the dungeon building tutorials by Jazz and SocialRipple for some good pointers.

It is a good idea to save your best spirits until you can build a strong enough dungeon to compete with the other players. Try putting together a dungeon consisting of your more common spirits for the first several games. This will allow you to receive a few activity migrations, which will hopefully round out your good spirits and allow you to assemble a strong dungeon.

Note that this doesn't mean you should be throwing any games! The VIA (Valhalla Immigration Authority) tends to look down on that, and you may find yourself suffering from a nasty negative migration or two if they suspect you of doing so. But it's perfectly acceptable to save your choicest spirits until you can build up a good support cast for them.

Try playing a few games in the Practice room after creating your new dungeon. This will allow you to see what works and what doesn't, without worrying about losing any points or spirits in the process.

If you're dissatisfied with the quality of spirits in your population, or just bored and want to try something new, keep in mind that you can repop every 3 months. You can both find out your repop date and request a repop. Keep in mind that there is sometimes a blackout period for repops after an event occurs.
