These changes and modifications were made in the Version 1.8.3 upgrade released on May 3, 2001.

Attribute Changes

Ancient Witch Child 

Reduced maintenance to 3 to 2.

Arctic Blizzard

Increase from 1 to 2 points of damage

Beowulf

Spirit Class now “Norse”

Black Armor

Reduced spell cost from 5 to 4.

Blue Shield

Reduced spell cost from 5 to 4.

Brown Shield

Reduced spell cost from 5 to 4.

Curse of the Deep

Changed to target any “combat” spirit in a wetlands space.  Cost now 5

Dark Apprentice

Reduce maint from 2 to 1.

Darkwizard’s Spellbook

Changing cost from 6 to 4

Delilah’s Scissors

Changing cost from 6 to 3

Dragon’s Cave

Changing cost from 5 to 4

Elven Princess

Changed to target “any” enemy instead of any “enemy combat” spirit.
Text altered as well.

Fallen Hero             

Change:  Lower cost from 6 to 5

Farmer’s Market   

Changed maintenance from 2 to 1.

First Aid 

Change to effect “all” friendly combat units
Increase the cost +1

Fortification               

Reduce the cost from 4 to 2

Fortify Defenders      

Changing cost from 5 to 4

Golden Apple             

Reduce cost from 5 to 3

Green Shield   

Reduce cost from 5 to 4.

Gremlins              

Changing to target “any” object.  Cost stays the same.

Hibernian Fletcher     

Changing spell cost from 4 to 3

Highland Bandits

Changed nature to Human.

Lightfoot                    

Increase effect of spell (cost of movement) from –1 to –2 move pts.

Change effect to “any human” from “any human in a drylands space”
